Dirge to blackness III (Xenophobia)

The sun stopped shining over us

The moon stopped smiling on us

The long shadow of hatred cast on us

With its spindly legs and roped hands

Snuffing life out of the black race

The sky weeping putrid phlegm

Coughing out the dredge-ful water

Bathing Africa in the dance of shame

We are done in an ugly way

Allowing the animal in us out

To the disdain of the world

Shaking their heads at us

This ugly monster knows no tribe

Nor kinsmen when awoke from slumber

Destruction in its wake

Oh the pains of hatred
